The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel to «prevent and punish» incitement to «genocide» in the Gaza Strip.

The decision is more than historic; it is a thunderous blow. Indeed, while this is not a decision on the merits, but rather measures requested as «provisional measures,» the terms used are severe for Israel and give a clear indication of the substance of the latter when it comes into effect. At this stage, the hypothesis of genocide committed against the Palestinians of Gaza is plausible.

If there is indeed a country in the world that should be prepared against this type of activity, it is Israel. The Founding Fathers of the State (who refused to call it the «State of the Jewish people» but «Israel» in order not to exclude) are today betrayed by Netanyahu and his clique of far-right, racist and fanatically religious people.

When you add the Active part played by Israel in the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh (Netanyahu being Aliyev’s best ally) we measure to what extent this state has gone astray under Netanyahu’s guidance and to what extent those who considered it necessary to blindly support Israel in the name of «democracy» or «common values» they showed a lack of seriousness or blatant ignorance. A democracy? Summoned to prevent a genocide?

All this in the silence of several French media outlets, which says a lot about the biases. But isn’t France almost the only democracy to have systematically banned demonstrations in support of the Palestinians? To have ordered researchers not to speak on the subject, reinstating a censorship from another time? Has French diplomacy lost its soul in this conflict? France will have to take a self-examination. A permanent member of the Security Council, it is little to say that our country does not measure up to its history and tradition, with the exception of a few remarkable and notable voices to save the honor.

Now another question arises, primarily for Gérald Darmanin: how to deal with the French-Israelis who took an active part in the massacres (or potentially participated in a genocide) of civilian populations? Are they S-files? Intelligence with a foreign power author of a possible genocide? A conundrum that reminds one of the return of Islamist jihadists.
