NEW REVELATIONS ABOUT THE «VASSAL SYSTEM»

This article does not aim to detail the offences I reported, which are covered by the rule of judicial secrecy.

Martine Vassal has given a merciless demonstration of her total inability to manage an institution. Whether it's the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis or Department 13. The person concerned had previously driven the family business into bankruptcy, with flying colours.

A few new elements:

• Martine Vassal's daughter-in-law (her son's partner, and mother of her two grandchildren) has been benefiting from social housing in the 8th arrondissement since 2024^th Marseille arrondissement. Everything is done to preserve anonymity, including on the letterbox. I will not reveal the person's identity or the precise address in order to protect their private life, but the facts are there.

• Nathalie Jolibois, first wife of Marc Jolibois (current chief of staff and partner of Martine Vassal), was given a job as a member of staff in the office of the President of the RTM, who at the time was Catherine Pila. It is worth remembering that the RTM operates under the supervision of the Metropolis. It was Martine Vassal who appointed Catherine Pila. Why appoint the first wife of Marc Jolibois there with a very sizeable salary? To buy her silence, naturally.

• Both Martine Vassal and Marc Jolibois were married when they met and when their relationship began on the premises of the town hall. The older staff even know the room and the sofa where this romance took flight. The former switchboard operator and then head of the bulky waste office was promoted to Chief of Staff to Martine Vassal. With the results that everyone knows. Managing 9 billion euros when you cannot read a memo longer than one page is a bold gamble. Or rather, reckless. Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis is under state trusteeship and the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône finds itself in a calamitous financial situation.

• In Department 13, a company called SYSKO FRANCE, far from being a giant in the field, is snapping up most of the frozen food supply catering contracts for secondary schools. A more than disturbing detail could explain this. The person in charge of analysing public procurement contracts (and therefore selecting the best bid in this area) reportedly has a family connection to a senior executive at... SYSKO FRANCE. Business is kept in the family, isn't it?

• The author of these lines had been astonished while he was a candidate in the 1st^er Marseille sector about the speed with which Martine Vassal wanted to launch «the Catalans tramway». The latter is to link Rue de Rome to Place du 4 Septembre. The works had already begun in the month of March while the public enquiry itself was scheduled for a later date. What could this desire to make the progress of things irreversible possibly hide? Even though Vassal already knew she had lost the Metropolis... Three quarters of the residents of this neighbourhood definitely do not want this tramway:

1. The neighbourhood has exceptionally good bus links
2. All the surveyed traders were anticipating going into receivership
3. The notoriously scarce parking spaces would become non-existent
4. Indescribable traffic congestion on the main thoroughfares and side streets.
5. A serious blow to heritage: foundations of Saint-Victor Abbey threatened, fountain on Cours Pierre Puget, War Memorial on Boulevard de la Corderie.

Such haste raises questions.

Marc Jolibois has several watches valued at tens of thousands of euros. Shouldn't he be on time rather than early?
