The recognition of the Palestinian state by Spain, Ireland and Norway is a real slap in the face for Netanyahu. It comes as the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has requested his indictment for war crimes and crimes against humanity, and as the International Court of Justice is assessing whether or not Israel has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip.
A single objective: to bury any prospect of a Palestinian state, whatever the cost.
All these facts mark the total failure of a strategy for which Netanyahu, Likud and its allies, driven by revisionist Zionist ideology, are responsible and guilty. They have strictly nothing to do with Judaism, of course which contradict all their principles.
They will have done everything they could to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state eliminate Arafat, exert pressure for Mahmoud Abbas to succeed him, colonise excessively, cause the Palestinian Authority to implode and encourage the rise of Hamas, even going so far as to finance it so that it becomes the sole representative of the Palestinians (naturally beyond the pale), ...
On 7 October, the pact between Netanyahu and Hamas was broken
On 7 October, terrorist acts were committed causing 1,184 casualties and innocent people are taken hostage. This day marks the breaking of the pact between Netanyahu and Hamas (Ehud Barak will reveal in an interview with «Le Point» that the two scoundrels were exchanging text messages and that Netanyahu was «proud» of it, footnote).
A robust and independent commission of enquiry, made up of historians, will have to do some thorough work to piece together this tragic day, minute by minute. Far from any propaganda. What already seems certain is that Netanyahu was fully aware (not least through Egyptian intelligence) that Hamas was plotting something. Did he underestimate the scale of the attack or misjudge its location and date? Or did Hamas manipulate him? We will find out sooner or later. But his political and moral responsibility is total. He will have to answer internally for having made Israeli territory so vulnerable through incompetence or miscalculation. Hence his determination to continue the massacres in Gaza, to indefinitely delay this inevitable reckoning.
Netanyahu is inadvertently promoting the recognition of the Palestinian state
Netanyahu thought he could push the Palestinian question far down the international agenda. Macronian diplomacy had jumped feet first, like others, into this trap. The slaughter in Gaza has awakened consciences and naturally sparks a vast wave of sympathy and support. Universities, young people, and the entire world are rising up in favour of the Palestinian cause because this struggle is just and legitimate, in accordance with international law and humanist values.
France completely lost
Almost alone France remains under a heavy veil of silence and information manipulation daily and shamelessly. Certain American, Israeli and Arab newspapers will have informed us much better about what is happening in Gaza than a French press completely gangrened by submission to magnates, who are themselves submissive to or doing business with the Macron administration. Pro-Macron supporters will have displayed a respectable Zionism feigning a step back from Netanyahu (though not too much) while searching for all sorts of justifications for the massacres committed in Gaza. The anti-Macron camp, for their part, will have flown the standard of revisionist Zionism, supporting Netanyahu and the massacre of civilians without the slightest pang of conscience.
As for the politicians, for the most part ignorant of the ins and outs of this conflict, they will have been carefully looked after. Indeed, since 7 October, no fewer than fifty parliamentarians will have succumbed to the joys of trips aimed at promoting the policy of the State of Israel, organised by ELNET FRANCE or the CRIF, a neutral and objective vision, all expenses paid of course. This figure does not take into account visits by the Presidents of the National Assembly and the Senate or those organised by political parties.
None of these people are remotely aware (or are they making a mockery of France?) that Revisionist Zionism and Kahanism directly clash with the values of the French Republic. No, today's Israel has nothing to do with what it was 25 years ago! No, the Palestinian cause has nothing to do with Islamism; it is Netanyahu alone who wanted to give a religious connotation to this nationalist, territorial conflict. No, massacring civilians in Gaza has strictly nothing to do with fighting jihadism. Palestinians are on their land, have been deprived of elections for 17 years and live in an open-air prison whose chief gaoler is Netanyahu.
Yes, France must regain its freedom and remain faithful to its values and its history. To say that the Macronist government has been ill-advised since 7 October is an understatement, multiplying blunders and clumsy moves, without any discernible direction. As a result, France is hated by the Arab street and does not enjoy the slightest trust in Israel. It is losing on all fronts.
France will probably be one of the last to recognise the Palestinian state, to contrary to its diplomatic tradition that vanished in the post-Jacques Chirac era. She will do it without flair.
Judgement time for Netanyahu
As for Netanyahu, not only is he watching powerlessly as the Palestinian state is widely recognised, seeing the struggle of his life reduced to nothing, but he will have additionally brought about an unprecedented diplomatic isolation of Israel. Even the American alliance is wavering, and will waver more and more in the future, as Christian Zionists almost certainly lose influence in American political life. Israel's isolation? Indeed, full responsibility lies with the supremacists who have been running it for several years and who have so much mixed Jewish and Arab blood on their hands.
