These extremely serious and shocking remarks were made by Noelle Lenoir, former Government Minister and former member of the Constitutional Council, on CNEWS during the programme »L'Heure des Pros' on 10 August. They have the effect of »equating the entire population of Algerian origin – including dual French nationals – with a terrorist or criminal threat, thereby creating a generalised and discriminatory conflation».".
Following these remarks made without the slightest contradiction and in view of the inertia of ARCOM, the French Union of Dual Nationals and the Algerian Diaspora (Algerian Union) has decided to file an urgent application for civil liberties (référé-liberté) against CNEWS.
