Press releases that go on being ridiculous in their repetitiveness and lack of effect. Contradictory messages sometimes on the very same day. A laughable pusillanimity as soon as Netanyahu pops out of his box. Such is French diplomacy in the Middle East, with no grip on events and not the slightest direction. France, like others, seems to ignore the ideology currently prevailing in Israel: revisionist Zionism.
Revisionist Zionism, a fascist ideology
This ideology, founded during the interwar period by and of which Benjamin Netanyahu's father, Benzion, was one of the principal leaders, was forged in opposition to orthodox Zionism, which it accused of methods that were too soft and a certain secularism.He was knighted by Mussolini «For Zionism to succeed, Benito Mussolini confided in 1935, you need a Jewish state, with a Jewish flag and a Jewish language. The person who truly understands this is your fascist, Jabotinsky. The Kahanişt, supremacist and messianic
It is therefore this ideology that is currently in power in Israel, with a dash of another ideological current, inspired by Rabbi Meir Kahane, «Kahanism». He comes from religious Zionism, advocating a «Jewishocracy». Those people have absolutely nothing to envy either Hamas or Hezbollah.. The Kach party is considered a terrorist organisation and was banned as early as 1994 by the Israeli government and the State Department. To its name:
- In 1982, Yoel Lerner attempted to blow up the Dome of the Rock with the aim of rebuilding the Temple of Jerusalem there. He was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
- In 1994, Baruch Goldstein, a supporter of Kach, killed 29 Muslims and injured 150 in Hebron during one of the attacks known as the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre.
If the party as such is banned, it disseminates its ideology within other movements. In France, the Jewish Defence League originated from it.
In the Israeli government, Ben Gvir and Smotrich are the main proponents. One of Ben Gvir’s allies stated in October 2003 that «spitting on Christians is not a criminal matter» and that «not everything is worth being imprisoned for».
These good people had Yitzhak Rabin, Prime Minister of the State of Israel and former Chief of Staff of the IDF, assassinated because he was embarking on the path to peace.
The current government of Israel is therefore not only ’far-right« in the manner of Mussolini or Pinochet, but it also includes a messianic and supremacist component.
Fascists, supremacists and messianics to defend Democracy, the West, Civilisation? Who are we kidding?
So these are the ones in charge of defending the West, civilisation, Good, and Morality? It is a joke turning to tragedy as the massacres continue in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
Thus most French politicians who follow one another on television and radio sets or via press releases establishing France's «unwavering diplomatic support for Israel’ or its »right to defend itself« (like any other State?), or that »France is a friend of Israel« (France is unquestionably a friend of Italy, but was it a friend of fascist Italy?) demonstrate at best their total ignorance of what Israel has become under Netanyahu's grip or, worse, a criminal complicity. Out-of-touch talking points that are in desperate need of a dusting off.
The media, for their part, are acting as vehicles for an ideology that clashes with and undermines all the principles of the French Republic. That CNEWS, the rolling disinformation channel with a clearly identified ideological line, should play this little game is, all things considered, quite logical. But that other media should follow suit bears witness to the concerning state of media freedom in France and of a worrying lack of general knowledge in journalistic circles. On this conflict, it is the American and British channels, a certain Israeli press, and a certain Arab press that will have done their job.
Establish Greater Israel«
The aim of the revisionist/religious Zionists is the establishment of the ’nation-state of the Jewish people« in order to make the other communities living in Israel second-class citizens. Netanyahu gave them what they wanted with the law of 19 July 2018, adopted by a very narrow majority. The founding fathers of the State of Israel had refused to do so, precisely so as not to exclude the non-Jewish populations from the nascent state.
Their objective is stated: it is Greater Israel, that is to say an area comprising at least Gaza, the West Bank, the part of Lebanon up to the Litani river. And Jordan later?
Supremacism has no difficulty dismissing rules or international law that do not apply «to the people of the enlightenment», to use Benjamin Netanyahu's expression. «Greater Israel» will be built by force, seizing every pretext to achieve this, by posing as a victim compelled to invade in order to defend itself. It is the promise made by Benjamin Netanyahu on his dying father's deathbed to «realise Greater Israel» that is currently bathing the Middle East in blood.
In this matter, the terrorist acts of 7 October naturally acted as a detonator. History will judge the level of information Netanyahu had, the extent to which he was manipulated by his former ally Hamas, and any potential security flaws.
Put an end to this murderous madness
There are only two ways today to put an end to this murderous madness.
- Neutralise Netanyahu and his government. That is what one was entitled to expect from the Israeli people who demonstrated in their masses on Saturday evenings in Tel Aviv; they are the Resistance fighters of today. But everything suggests that they will not succeed. Netanyahu is playing for his political survival and his freedom in this matter. A psychopath has no qualms.
- Meet force with force. Indeed, Israel is not much without American and German weapons supplies. The IDF is not invincible when facing real armies and not unarmed civilians. Stop all arms supplies to this government. And deploy an international force against it in Lebanon and the Palestinian Territories to compel it, by force, to back down.
Western political leaders should think twice, for the sake of their own self-interest if not out of humanity and dignity. May the International Criminal Court resist unacceptable pressure, and they will have been accomplices to war criminals.
Whether the International Court of Justice classifies the Gaza massacres as a «genocide» or not, «complicity in genocide» or «apology for genocide» will proliferate.
We are witnessing a new «Munich» in which the leaders involved are not even aware of their own cowardice and do not even have the excuse of backing down before someone stronger than themselves.
